Wallace Air Pollution System
20 Wallace Street Wellington
2015

The face of the house at 20 Wallace Street acts to interact with each passing car to exacerbate the daily commute to town by highlighting the negative impact each car has on the environment, and to raise curiosity about what is contained in the house itself.

Upon entering the viewer is exposed to an abstract, creepy and engaging installation aimed to cause discomfort. The viewer moves through the space and is then exposed to facts and information which give the previous forms meaning and context.  In the final stage they are exposed to the air monitoring station which grounds the experience with the intent to shock the viewers into understanding the urgency of changing the ways we live and operate.
